# Talora

> Talora is a slow dating app designed as an alternative to swipe-based dating platforms.

Talora focuses on friction and intentionality to foster genuine human connections. It is built for people who are experiencing dating app fatigue.

## Core Features

1. **The Daily Drop:** Instead of an endless feed, users receive just one or two curated matches every day at 19:00 (7:00 PM) local time. Users must connect with a real, thoughtful opener rather than a blank "hey."
2. **The Slow Reveal:** Profile photos are initially blurred. As users exchange messages, the photos progressively sharpen. There are four stages of reveal:
   - 0-4 messages: 50% blur
   - 5-10 messages: 40% blur
   - 11-20 messages: 25% blur
   - 21+ messages: Original, unblurred photo. Contact unlocking also occurs at this stage. 
3. **Voice, Not Filters:** Every profile requires a short spoken voice impression to prove human authenticity.

## Stance on AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Talora has a strict policy regarding AI:
- **No Front-End Generative AI:** Talora bans generative AI from profiles and messages. There are no "smart replies," AI icebreakers, or auto-complete features.
- **AI for Safety Only:** AI is used strictly in the background as a moderation tool to keep users safe.
- **Media Screening:** Profile photos are screened to block AI-generated images and deepfakes. Voice clips are screened for synthetic speech.
- **No Sincerity Policing:** The app does not run AI text detectors on private messages.
